Johanna Seagren, MA, LPC
From a young age, Johanna always felt in her heart a distinct call to serve others through counseling. She pursued that dream with vigor and received her Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Theology; as well as her Masters in Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Johanna then spent three years as a missionary in Ecuador, serving as a therapist for children, teens and families in a variety of settings. Upon her return to the U.S., Johanna expanded her repertoire of experience to include working in community mental health as well as group practice before founding Two Hearts Counseling.
While serving in various positions of women's ministries during college, it became Johanna's mission to help heal and restore women's wounded sense of self-esteem, body-image and identity. As a mother herself, Johanna believes whole heartedly in supporting moms in all circumstances and stages - especially through pregnancy, postpartum depression/anxiety, birth trauma, miscarriage/infertility, and the unique challenges of parenting a child with complex medical or psychological needs.
Johanna has received additional certification in TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), which has been proven to enhance the child-parent relationship, especially in cases of adoption. She enjoys helping parents discover effective models of discipline that are based on connection and mutual respect. Lately, she has been pouring her heart into creating the first-ever Faith-Based Emotional Regulation Program for Families - Interior Kingdom. You can find out more at: www.interiorkingdom.com
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Johanna works with each client to create a safe setting where one is both comfortable and challenged to explore, heal and grow at his or her own pace. Above all, you can trust that Johanna is deeply passionate about helping her clients overcome barriers that are preventing them from discovering their true worth, dignity and purpose in life.
